Overview

An anti-snoring appliance is a mandibular advancement device: it holds the lower jaw slightly forward during sleep so the airway stays open. The amount of advancement is the single factor that decides both effectiveness and patient comfort, so it is set from your prescription rather than guessed at the bench.

Fabrication

We build the appliance from your articulated models or scans, with the protrusion you specify and a titration mechanism if you want the patient to adjust in steps. Acrylic and flexible variants are both available; the flexible version is lighter and better tolerated by patients who gag easily.

Clinical note

Advancement appliances place load on the TMJ and dentition. Patients with limited opening, active periodontal disease or few remaining teeth should be assessed before prescribing one. We fabricate to your instruction and do not make that decision for you.
