Crown

Permanent crowns: stainless steel, PFM, all resin or all ceramic, custom made in our lab.
  • Description

Crown: Permanent crowns can be made from stainless steel, porcelain fused to metal, all resin, or all ceramic. Stainless steel crowns are prefabricated crowns that are used on permanent teeth primarily as a temporary measure. The crown protects the tooth or filling while a permanent crown is made from another material.

Overview

A single crown is the most common restoration we produce. The material choice matters more than the crown itself: full-contour zirconia for posterior load, lithium disilicate for anterior aesthetics, and PFM where cost or preparation space decides it.

Fabrication

We mill full-contour zirconia from Zenostar Zr and sinter it to full density, or press IPS e.max for anterior units. Occlusal anatomy is built to the opposing dentition rather than to a generic library, and contacts are checked on the articulated model.

Shade

Send a shade photograph taken with the tab in frame, not just the tab number. Photography tells us the value and the translucency of the incisal edge, which a shade number alone does not carry.
