Overview

A cast partial framework is the metal base that a removable partial denture is built on. It carries the occlusal rests, the clasps and the major connector, so its design determines how the load travels to the abutment teeth.

Fabrication

We cast in Co-Cr on a refractory duplicate of your master cast, finish the intaglio surface to the tissue, and return the frame for try-in before the acrylic and teeth are added where you want that control point. Electro-polishing is standard.

Why design matters

A framework that places the load on soft tissue rather than on the rests will cause the abutments to migrate. We flag designs that will do this before casting. It is a short conversation at the design stage against a remake later.
